Most pricing pages in this market are built to delay the moment you understand what you will pay. Scanova’s is built to end it: four tiers with amounts on both billing periods, a lifetime option with a fixed price, per-year add-on costs, and a trial FAQ that tells you, before you subscribe, exactly when a trial code stops working.
This review was built from Scanova’s published pages, pricing data and help documentation, read on the dates shown, not from a hands-on account run. The dashboard sits behind signup, and we flag which scores are provisional because of it.
What Scanova is
A dynamic-first QR platform from Trycon, an Indian company, aimed at users who want campaign features without enterprise pricing. The catalog runs to 26 QR categories, the widest we track alongside QR Tiger’s 25: URL, vCard, WiFi, PDF, menus, payments and the long tail. On top sit the features that usually cost two tiers more elsewhere: conditional redirects by device, location or time, scheduled activation, password-protected codes, and bulk generation in batches of 50 to 100.
Design tooling covers colors, logos, patterns, frames, AI-generated designs and templates, with exports in PNG, JPG, SVG, EPS and PDF per their pages. Analytics track events and clicks, with exact GPS location arriving on Pro, and data flows out through Google Analytics, webhooks and Zapier.
The grid, in full
Here is what the pricing page publishes, read August 10, 2026, with both billing periods.
Basic costs $5 a month and is the honest anomaly: it is labeled Annual Only, so the real commitment is $60 up front for 3 dynamic codes with unlimited scans and 30-day analytics. Lite runs $9 billed annually or $15 monthly for 10 codes, all 26 categories, unlimited analytics history and the conditional-redirect toolkit. Standard is $35 or $50 for 50 codes, Zapier and white-label landing pages. Pro is $75 or $100 for 500 codes, 5 users, GPS tracking and phone support, with add-ons at $60 per extra user and $120 per custom domain, per year.
Two readings matter. Unlimited scans on every tier removes the quota anxiety that defines several rivals. And the monthly toggle carries real numbers, 33 to 67 percent above the annual rate depending on the tier, so you can price a short campaign without guessing. The pricing index shows where that $5 entry sits against every verified price we track: near the bottom of the market, with the annual-only caveat attached.
The expiry terms, stated before you pay
The recurring failure in this market is the dynamic code that dies quietly: created on a trial, printed, then deactivated when the clock runs out, with the story documented only in help-center archaeology. We have verified that mechanic from vendors’ own pages for QRFY and QR.io.
Scanova runs the same mechanic, and discloses it in its own pricing FAQ: your dynamic QR code will stop working once the free trial ends, and static codes made with the free tool work forever. Same physics as everyone, printed where a buyer can read it. In our trust scoring, that disclosure is worth real points, because the damage in the horror stories comes less from the mechanic than from discovering it after the print run.
The lifetime option
Ultra Lite is the unusual line in the grid: $150, once, for one dynamic code with lifetime validity and Lite features. Only two vendors in our index sell a pay-once option at all, and Scanova’s is the only single-code version. Against Lite billed annually it breaks even around month 17; for a code that will live on a sign or a machine for years, the arithmetic favors it quickly.
The honest caveat applies here as everywhere: lifetime means the vendor’s lifetime. The code resolves through Scanova’s redirect, so a pay-once code is a bet on the company’s longevity rather than on your subscription discipline. Our pricing index covers the pay-once corner of the market in its own section.
Where the record is thin
The generator and dashboard sit behind signup, so our ease-of-use and analytics scores come from the published pages and are flagged provisional until a hands-on account pass. EU data residency is unclear: ISO 27001, GDPR and SOC 2 claims are published, but where scan data physically lives is not stated on a public page, which matters if a European legal team asks. And the API belongs to Enterprise or to qrapi.io, a separate paid product, so developers should price that path before assuming it is included.
Who it fits, and who should skip it
Scanova fits the buyer who reads terms before printing: the grid is public, the trial mechanics are disclosed, unlimited scans remove the usual quota trap, and the feature depth per dollar at Lite is among the best we track. The $150 lifetime code is the standout niche: one code, priced once, for signage and long-lived print.
Skip it if you refuse annual commitment at entry, since Basic has no monthly option and the monthly rates above it carry a steep premium. Skip it if you need EU data residency in writing, which Hovercode states and Scanova does not. And skip it if you want to try a dashboard before creating an account, which this market rarely allows and Scanova does not either.
Alternatives worth comparing
For the direct match-up with the second-ranked platform, Uniqode vs Scanova weighs this grid’s clarity and retention against Uniqode’s analytics depth and compliance list.
For the other tool competing on written-down rules, QR Planet publishes an Austrian imprint and plain-language expiry terms, prices in euros from 5 a month billed yearly, with a three-month minimum term. Scanova’s Basic is annual-only, but Lite and higher tiers offer monthly billing.
For monthly billing at the entry price, Oh My Code starts at $4.99 a month without an annual commitment and also sells full-plan lifetime pricing. For a free start instead of a trial, Hovercode gives you 3 dynamic codes that never expire. For a catalog of similar depth with a documented free-flow problem, QR Tiger is the direct comparison. And the full ranking shows where Scanova’s clarity lands once every criterion is weighted.
Our best dynamic QR code generators page compares Scanova’s entry plans with other paid QR platforms and selects tools by need, with the trial and cancellation terms quoted from each vendor.
